    This course will examine the transnational popularity of Korean pop culture through the lens of globalization and capitalism. Using examples from Korean dramas, K-pop music videos and film, we will examine portrayals of Korean life and discuss what implications this might have for gender, class and political relations as well as for the global audience who consume its contents.
