Diane Pearson

Lecturer
Native American Studies

I earned an M. A. in American Indian Studies with a focus on tribal administrations and governments in 1997, and in 2001, I received the first Ph. D. in American Indian Studies awarded by the American Indian Studies Program at the University of Arizona, Tucson. This is a triple-concentration in American Indian Law and Policy; Societies and Cultures; and American Indian Education. Both my master's thesis and my dissertation focused on the politics of disease among Native Americans.
